All Good Bakers of Albany is beginning the Capital Region's first Community Supported Bakery ("CSB"). Similar to a CSA membership, individuals will purchase a share of bread and baked goods at the beginning of the season for weekly pick-up. We will have two pick-up locations, one in Albany and one in Delmar, every Wednesday from 5pm - 7pm. Our Winter Bread Share begins Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010 and runs through April 27, 2011 (26 weeks). Shares begin at only $6.00 per week and you'll have the opportunity to chose the items you want at the beginning of the season.
All Good uses local and organic ingredients at every possible turn and we strongly believe in sourcing all of our materials in a sustainable way. We will be using organic flours; local and organic milk, buttermilk, eggs, maple syrup and honey; fair-trade, organic sugars; unsalted European butter; aluminum-free baking powder and kosher salt, and we have several vegan selections (we use organic soy products). We are committed to baking from scratch and with integrity.
We're offering a limited number of shares and the deadline for sign-up is October 24. Send us a message at allgoodbakers@gmail and we'll email you all the details right away. We are at the Delmar Farmer's Market at the Bethlehem Middle School on Kenwood Ave. every Saturday from 9am-1pm (through October and inside the school for Nov. & Dec.). Please stop by for a sample of our hearty breads, bialys, croissants, scones, muffins, vegan cinnamon buns and other delicious baked goods!
We are also partnering with Java Jazz Cafe and a new business, The Town Pedaler, to bring Delmar "Dinner By Bike", beginning October 6 (10 week seasonal share). You can have fresh, organic soup, salad & bread delivered to your home or office every Wednesday, by bicycle, for a reasonable price. http://www.townpedaler.com/ http://javajazzdelmar.com/index.php?go=dinnerbybikesignup It's a great way to reduce your carbon footprint, enjoy a delicious organic meal and support your local economy!
We look forward to your participation in our effort to bring the community sustainable bread and baked goods.
