I was surprised to read your review of Chipolte Grill. We spend our winters just south of Tucson and always head to one of their restaurants when we get up that way. Pork burrito for me; carne asado for my husband. We think they're great! I hope the problems are due to the Northeast's inablilty to get supplies like avocados. We've been waiting anxiously to see one open in the Albany area so we fulfill our need for good Mexican fare.

A CHAIN restaurant!????? I'm sure that having a review is welcomed but when given a choice locally owned is where I'll eat first. Even in Tucson - I chose locally owned.

While Wilton is pretty far for me, if I'm in the area I won't cross it off of the list of places to check out.
(oh, yum, but it's next to 5 guys!)

I was surprised to hear about the poor quality at this Chipotle.
They are not franchises but owned and operated by the parent company with a real commitment to quality.
I rarely eat in chain restaurants with the exception of Chipotle. When I am in Manhattan I often go there for an inexpensive lunch. While it's certainly not Mexican Radio or Brooklyn's California Taqueria the quality is always decent and vastly better than Moe's. At the location I frequent English lessons are given in the morning before the restaurant opens. I even contacted them a few years back to try and get them to open a Chipotle in Stuyvesant Plaza!
