Here's a recipe from Bill. These are simple enough to whip up for breakfast on a weekday. (For him anyway. Personally, I don't find anything simple before 9 a.m., but, really, it only takes about three minutes to put these together and another five to cook them.)
Enjoy.

Here's the recipe.

You wanna hear something crazy? We got this waffle maker as a wedding present. That was 17 years ago. It's nice to know that some things last, eh.
That's right, yum.

Ingredients:
Dry
½ cup all purpose flour
½ cup whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup pecan pieces
¼ dried cherries (I prefer tart, but you can use sweetened if you like)
Wet
In a one cup measuring cup, crack 1 egg, add 2 Tbsp oil. Then fill the cup the rest of the way with milk.
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients with the wet ingredients. Stir with a spoon till blended, but don’t overdo it.
Heat waffle iron. Put a large spoonful in the center of each waffle grill. Cook until the iron signals the waffles are done. Serve with butter and real maple syrup. They are also nice topped with plain yogurt, sliced banana and maple syrup.

These are really heavy, substantial waffles. If you like light, fluffy waffles, you will be very disappointed with these. For the fluffy loving people, I'll dust off my yeast waffle recipe sometime soon.
