This is a thank you. And a wet sloppy kiss, the kind you get from a two year old with love in his eyes and peanut butter all over his face. But most of all this is a love letter.
Celinabean turns one this month. A year ago, I set out to see what kind of stories I could tell if I moved out beyond the constraints of ink and paper. I wanted to cast my two cents into the Web’s wishing well see what might happen. Plunk…..Plunk.
What I didn’t anticipate, what I didn’t even dare to wish for, was you. Thank you for showing up. For pulling your chair up to the table. For teaching me.
I’ve got lots of big ideas for this next year (now that it no longer takes me three hours to upload and process a photograph.) I hope you will stick around with your stories and comments and questions. Your response is what keeps me going.
As for last year, I thought you might like to know what the most popular post was. Here it is. Nothing else even came close.
I'd very much like you to join the conversation. The only rule: treat everyone else in the conversation with kindness and respect. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks!

Congratulations, Celina! You make me wish I lived in Albany. And you sure make me want to eat and cook.

Congratulations, Celina! You make me wish I lived in Albany. And you sure make me want to eat and cook. And you always manage to make me laugh and cry.

I just read your article in Body and Soul and was surprised and thrilled to see you live in Albany. That lead me to your wonderful web site and I must say-you are a talented writer when you can make Albany seem so interesting! I would love to speak to you about your freelancing experience. Is there an email I can contact you at?
