There has been a death in my family. The well is dry. I have no appetite to cook, to eat, or even to write.
I will be back next week. I hope you will stick around. Until then, here are few things for you.
I'd very much like you to join the conversation. The only rule: treat everyone else in the conversation with kindness and respect. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks!

Hi Celina,
I was so sorry to read about your grandma passing. She sounded like an amazing person. Take your time to mourn and I am confident all of the foodies are thinking of you at this time and will embrace you when you return. Best always, Linda

Celina,
There are alot of out here that look forward to what you have to say and think. I feel that your are my family even though we wouldn't know each other if we bumped into each other at our favorite farmer's market. Many of us share your pain. I lost my mother last month when it was least expected. Unfortunatly this is something that happens to most of us. It does change how we look at everything. My love goes out to you. Our daughter and grandaughters are visiting from Ca. this week. I made Ma Otaway's chicken Sunday night for Lana's ninth birthday and your family has morphed into ours. Thank you for that and for so much more. Love, Tom

Take it one day at a time - sometimes one hour at a time.
I too could not eat or cook for a long time but my son needed nutrition so I learned to cooked my father's favorites and cried in the grocery.
Glad I stumbled on your site, but saddened to read of your loss.
